Today, February 14, is Ash Wednesday (and Valentine’s Day). It marks the start of the penitential season of the church year called Lent. As in ancient Christian tradition, worshipers are invited forward to receive the imposition of ashes upon their forehead. The Ash Wednesday service begins at 7:00 pm. The sermon, “What is the Mission of God?”, is based on Colossians 1:19-20. “For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross.”
As a church family, we will be gathering for our annual Lenten Supper at 6:00 pm. It is a perfect opportunity to reconnect over a delicious meal.
