Food Shelf Items Needed

Did you know that Concordia University, St. Paul has a food shelf? You might not know it, but CSP has made a food shelf available for its students and staff for the past 40 years, making it one of the oldest campus food shelves in the nation.

Even though people are aware that a lot of college students must live off food like ramen noodles, many are not aware that plenty of college students face food insecurity. Food insecurity is the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods.

Concordia’s food shelf, Comet’s Cupboard does what it can to help students, alumni, faculty and staff that are food insecure. The food shelf is the spring Ladies’ Guild (LWML) mission project. The ladies invite you to add to their donations. All non-perishable food items, paper products, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items will be accepted.

High demand items which are always needed are:

* Juice

* Breakfast items

* Quick & easy meals

* On the go items

* Cleaning Supplies

All donations may be dropped off in the bin by the LWML bulletin board in the Commons Area through Sunday, March 24.
